Kids are back in school and it’s the perfect time to refresh the space.

College kids? Is it time to make their old bedroom into a multi-use room? You know, STILL their room when they’re home on breaks, but also a space you can actually use. Could be a mini gym, second office, craft/gift wrapping room or simply a quiet hiding space for you to read a book and relax. I love designing these types of rooms. Did you know they make gym equiptment that actually FITS in your home and looks like pretty furniture? Mind-blown & loving it.

I love a fresh coat of paint before fall sets in. Great way to start the school year and be holiday - ready well in advance. Painting now will also give you time to patch any “oopsies”. Don’t neglect the baseboards and crown~ even a quick touch up makes a huge impact.

Here are a few of my favorite (Benjamin Moore) things lately. My teens agree on this list too.

  • White Dove (OC-17): Warm, soft off-white. Classic GO TO

  • Ballet White (OC-9): Creamy, flexible backdrop hue.

  • Smoke (2122-40): Muted, mature gray-blue tone.

  • Saybrook Sage (HC-114): Earthy, calming organic green. Feels like home.

  • Porcelain (2113-60): Soft lilac with gray undertones. This is amazing on.

  • Hale Navy (HC-154): Deep, sophisticated classic navy. Replaces crappy gray.

  • Wenge (AF-180): Rich, moody plum-chocolate brown. ANOTHER better choice than gray and so sexy.

  • Evening Dove (2128-30): Slate blue for cozy ambiance. So perfect.
